Uber Ski or a private transfer from Denver to Vail?
Uber launched Uber Ski in November 2025 with Vail Resorts, letting you reserve an UberXL or XXL up to 90 days ahead, and reporting at launch put one-way Denver-to-mountain rides well over $200. It is a legitimate option. The differences worth knowing on a hundred-mile mountain drive: a reserved Uber is still matched to whichever driver accepts it near your pickup time, so you learn who is driving you at the last minute rather than the night before. There is no flight tracking, so a delayed landing is your problem to re-arrange. Gear space depends on the class you booked and how the driver has the vehicle loaded. And the driver may be a Denver driver making an occasional mountain run rather than someone who drives Vail Pass weekly. A private transfer is a named driver and a specific vehicle, assigned ahead of time, with your flight on screen and your fare locked at booking.
